For removing both common and detergent-resistant substances. The combination of detergent and solvent removes many resinous and carbonaceous substances which are difficult or impossible to remove with detergents alone. Prevents in-wash rust, retards after-wash rust, but, especially if rinsed, the use of a suitable Rust Inhibitors is recommended for assured prevention of after-wash rust. Use at any temperature; but many detergent resistant substances can be removed only at temperatures over 120F. Has low, unstable foam at any temperature.

Burnishing Compound. Liquid.
For cleaning, deburring, and HIGH GLOSS finishing of all metals. When used with steel media, produces a high-gloss finish on aluminum, steel, SS, copper, brass, bronze, zinc, magnesium, other metals and alloys. Prevents in-wash rust on ferrous parts, use inhibitor to prevent after-wash rust on steel media during shutdown for up to 72 hours--for longer shut-down, use suitable Rust Inhibitors.

Other Materials:
All are suitable for use on glass. All except Metalterj #256 and #288 are suitable for use on plastics, #256 and #288 are suitable for use on some plastics but test first.

Special Conditions:
These "Parts Detergents" are formulated to emphasize the properties which are essential for best performance when used in spray washers, vibrators, tumblers, spindle machines, or by any method that provides vigorous mechanical action. When the method of cleaning provides little or no mechanical action, as in a soak tank, and when unusual quantities or types of oily dirt are involved, performance and bath life of any of these parts detergents can be improved by adding one of the following cleaning additives to the cleaning solution: add Cardite #8359 or Cardite #4682 or Superwet #2, normally 1% or less of the volume of the cleaning solution is adequate.
