Liquid Detergent-Emulsifier
for
Steam Cleaning Carpets

For use in all "steam-method" carpet cleaning machines. Provides the instant dirt emulsifying action needed for cleaning with such injection-extraction machines.

Low foam at recommended use temperatures - will not interfere with vacuum pick up. However, if carpet has been previously cleaned with a high-foaming detergent, residue from previous cleaning may be activated and cause a foam problem; if so, add about 5 drops Defoam #100 to recovery tank.

Completely water soluble, leaves no residue. Brightens all fabrics by increasing light reflectance.

Use on all carpets: cotton, wool, nylon, acrilan, other synthetics.

Use Dilutions:

For Light Soil...	Use 1 ounce per gallon water.
For Moderate Soil...	Use 2 ounce per gallon water.
For Heavy Soil...	Use 3 ounce per gallon water.

For low foam use water over 100F.
To protect wool fibers do not use water over 100F.

To Use

Clear area as much as practical by removing furniture. Vacuum carpet. Remove grease spots and stains. For best results at doorways and other heavy-traffic areas, prespray with a solution of 6 ounces Vivid per gallon water and let stand about 5 minutes before cleaning.

Steam clean, always overlapping the previously cleaned area to avoid streaks.

If furniture must be replaced before carpet is completely dry, prevent stains by using plastic, aluminum foil, butter chips or similar water-proof material under the legs.

Quantity Required

One gallon Vivid will clean about 4000 to 13000 sq. ft. Average usage is one gallon SOLUTION per 100 sq. ft. Shags require more, tight weave less.

At 3oz per gal.: one gal. Vivid makes 44 gallons solution, enough for 4400 sq. ft.
At 2oz per gal.: one gal. Vivid makes 64 gallons solution, enough for 6400 sq. ft.
At 1oz per gal.: one gal. Vivid makes 129 gallons solution, enough for 12900 sq. ft.

Properties
Clear, blue liquid. Mild odor. Non-Flammable. Biodegradable. Low viscosity. Low foam at temperatures over 100°F.
