Boiler Feedwater Treatment

Regular use of Hydratone #66 promotes efficient boiler operation by preventing the formation of scale which reduces heat transfer. Scale formation is due to mineral deposits on the tubes -- principally calcium and magnesium in the feedwater.

Hydratone #66 prevents such deposits by keeping the minerals in a water-soluble complex so that they can not be deposited. It will also remove existing scale by resolubilizing the minerals previously deposited as scale so that they are gradually removed during regular blow-down. If boiler is known to have scale, use at double the regular usage until tubes are clean.
